Our St Edward Strategic Plan for 2010 - 2014

Dear fellow St. Edward parishioners,

With the blessing of our pastor, Reverend Allen Bratkowski, and with ratification granted by the 2010/2011 Parish Council, the St. Edward Strategic Planning Committee humbly submits this strategic plan for the years 2010 through 2014.  The purpose of this document is to set the course, and to act as the compass, for all parish activities during this strategy period. 

This plan is the culmination of countless hours of work by many parishioners, including the Parish Council, the Strategic Planning Core Committee, the members of the five Strategic Planning Taskforces, and the many parishioners and parish staff members who participated in the December 2009 Town Hall Meeting, the parish survey, and the staff and parish listening sessions.  The Strategic Planning Core Committee thanks you for your dedication to St. Edward Faith Community and the strategic planning process.

The challenge we face now is to make this plan become reality.  Remember, we all are the parish, and we all have a role in making our parish a better faith community, and we can do this in several ways:

• We can discern how we can participate in the major initiatives and action plans spelled out in this plan.
• We can be Jesus’ disciples and share the Good News to our neighbors beyond our own community, acting as ambassadors for St. Edward.
• We can pray for those who volunteer for leadership roles on parish committees and leadership positions.
• We can pray for our pastor and parish staff, who share responsibility with parishioners to execute the action plans spelled out in this plan.
